When The World Sleeps: Star Trail Photography
  • Hello Jishnu, would you like to tell us about yourself?

– Hi I Am Jishnu Satheesh Babu from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. I have finished with my 12th grade.

  • How has your journey as a Macro photographer been till now?

– Photography is my passion!! When I was 13 I started taking photos from my mobile camera/digital camera. Dad bought me a DSLR at the age of 16, it’s been three years but still I learn a lot from people around me through Facebook. Insects and reptiles fascinated me from young age.

  • The things you like about Macro Photography?

– According to me Macro photography is pretty difficult compared to all other types of photography and that’s why I like it the most as you need more patience and practice and once you get into it you are in an whole new world. I capture most of my macros in my home garden or I visit botanical garden in the city.

  • What camera equipment do you carry with you mostly?

– I carry around a 58mm reverse ring, a homemade diffuser for my in-build flash and a 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens.. If your doing reverse lens macro i recommend using a reverse ring that is key when your doing reverse lens macro as if you don’t use it if your not careful enough you can get dust into your sensor..For macros its very important that i use PP to bring out the details and pop the color out more then it is so Photoshop come handy. Practice hard and learning from mistakes is what i have learnt so far in Macro photography.
